The Next Steps

We know you can feel a little nervous coming to a church for the first time. Below you can find out what to expect, where you can fit in, and ministries that are available to meet your needs. If you have any questions, just ask!

What to Expect

What should I wear? Whatever you normally wear. We are more concerned with meeting you than with your attire.

Where should I go when I arrive? Our greeters will guide you to our information desk and then into the sanctuary. Feel free to sit where you feel comfortable. Our ushers are available to answer your questions.

What is your style of worship? Our worship team desires to create an atmosphere where you can truly experience God and feel his presence. Our songs range from classic hymns to current worship music.

Community Groups

At Pleasant Valley, our community groups are dedicated to discipleship, community, and the spiritual formation of people in our church and community. The ministries occur in all areas and age levels of our church, including children, young adults, and adults. For more information about how you and your family can connect  through a community group, stop by the Information Center in the lobby.

Kid Alley - Our children learn about God's plan of salvation and how to begin their relationship with him.

Movement - Teenagers face a world with conflicting values. We want to help them make the right choices and be successful.

Worship and Praise - Our musicians and singers prepare all week to provide us with a great opportunity to worship God.

There are even more ministries not listed here. Everyone has God-given talents; use yours to bless others in our church family! Let’s find a place for you to help and serve!

We can't wait to see you.

Paul Carrasco

~ Pastor

The basic and fundamental doctrine our church is the Bible standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance.

For many people, “Pentecostal” is a new word. Although it has become much more common in recent years, its roots go back to an ancient Jewish feast and, more recently, to the first outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the earliest Christian believers. Because this initial outpouring of the Spirit took place on the Day of Pentecost (Acts chapter 2), those who experience a similar infilling of the Spirit are known as Pentecostals. They look to the Book of Acts as a guide for how to live out their Christian faith. Many of the key players in Acts were eyewitnesses of the life and teachings of Jesus, and it follows that they would have the clearest insight into the way in which to worship Jesus.

I want to personally invite you to visit us and consider letting us be apart of your life. We are more than just a church, we're family.
